„I‘ve enjoyed reading the stories, so thanks for arranging all that (and translating them). Hilary independently chose the same winner as me, so it was unanimous. So, here are my choices and comments.

• 1st. Ghosts from the Past, by Sarah Schuckel. One of several entries that brought back Grace Strachan, this was well-crafted and confident, written with a strong sense of style.
• 2nd. Untitled, by Stephanie Lauber. Atmospheric and moody, with a nice eye for detail and a teasing cliff-hanger.
• 3rd. Untitled, by Lisa Friedrich. A gruesome and inventive piece that ends with a surprising twist.
